The homeless people of Windsor have finally been allowed to sleep close to the venue of this weekend’s Royal Wedding, with some even being given Union Jack blankets.
Local police had come into a lot of criticism over the last few months for trying to clear all of the area’s homeless people and rough sleepers away from the zone that it likely to become a tourism hotspot and the focus of the entire world’s media.
However, it now appears that local council leaders have had a change of heart.
We spoke to one of the rough sleepers, a United States citizen called Dan Funglebungler Sr from Badongydoo, Michigan, and he told Southend News Network that the gesture from the local authority was ‘the pinnacle of humanity.’
He added, ‘This kind and warm concession from the King of Windsorbury will not be forgotten. He should be knighted or something.’
