For the time being, Southend News Network is unable to broadcast any Facebook Live videos because we breached the ‘Facebook Community Standards’ a few weeks ago when broadcasting video of Southend On Sea ‘shaking’ to pretend that the area was experiencing an Earthquake.

A topical joke as it was broadcast the day after the actual Earthquake that hit the West of England. Because that’s what we do. We broadcast jokes.

However, in Facebook’s own words, we now face a one-month ban from posting Facebook Live videos and a ‘reduced reach’ for our content in News Feed because we have breached their ‘community standards.’

Here’s the real joke.

After spending four minutes browsing various Facebook pages, I was able to find these four examples of utter racist and hate-filled fuckwittery that have been left visible and untouched.

Could the above Diane Abbott meme actually tick any more ‘knuckledragging’ boxes?

Yep this is a good one, and the named ‘organisation’ is notorious for this sort of shit.

What? A Tory MP who doesn’t support Brexit? That’s a smashing reason for the death penalty then.

Just as an aside, Leave.EU stuck a meme up a while ago calling for one of Lee Rigby’s killers to be hung for his crime. Just saying.

Islamophobia. The new free speech.

We should add that we have turned off Facebook Instant Article publishing for this blog, because Facebook also has an annoying habit of treating screenshotted hatred as actual hatred, as opposed to an attempt to demonstrate just how fucked up the whole thing really is.

Impose restrictions on SNN for making a joke live video if you want guys, but please have the decency to remove everything else that is making Facebook look like something out of the 1940’s …
