A spokesperson for the British Cereal Confederation has confirmed that from January 2019, Coco Pops and Rice Krispies are going to be sold mixed together to promote diversity, multiculturalism and tolerance in the United Kingdom.
Their Chief Executive Sir Henry Perineum added that he was ‘deeply sorry’ for advertising Coco Pops with a monkey over the last few decades.
He added, ‘It’s time to end the metaphor for segregation whenever you go into a supermarket and see Coco Pops and Rice Krispies sold separately.’
’The whole thing makes a mockery of the Civil Rights Movement, and we regret this profoundly.’
Consumers around the UK have reacted to the news by mixing the cereals together at home.
Busy Mum Miranda Queef said, ‘We tried this at breakfast time today, and it brought tears to my eyes to see how my children were so keen to embrace the idea that all cereals are equal in the eyes of God.’
Sir Henry added, ‘I can also confirm that I am in talks with the Irish government about rebranding Lucky Charms.’
’The little guy on the packet has become the Robertson’s Golliwog for millennials.’
