A spokesperson for ITV has confirmed that all guests who appear on the Jeremy Kyle show are put down humanely at the end of each episode.

According to a statement from the broadcaster, Graham and the aftercare team make the process ‘as comfortable as possible’ for them

He added, ‘Unless they need to come back for DNA or lie detector test results, a member of the production team leads them to a dedicated facility at the rear of the building.’

‘They are usually offered a Pot Noodle and some Lambrini to make them comfortable, and then after a short and painless procedure we inform their family members that they are ready for collection.’

‘Occasionally, they may be granted a temporary reprieve before a repeat appearance if the numbers are good.’
