A spokesperson for Ryanair has confirmed that any Extinction Rebellion protestors who climb onto their planes will be charged €50 as they will technically be classed as excess baggage.

Speaking to a packed press conference earlier today, Daniel O’Donnell made it clear that the pilot would also take off as usual.

He added, ‘The additional fee will cover the extra fuel required to reach our destination due to the slightly reduced aerodynamics.’

‘Although many people will criticise this policy, all Al Fresco Class passengers will still be entitled to purchase refreshments, fragrances, alcohol and scratch cards.’

‘All of our service trollies are being retrofitted with harnesses and parachutes like that episode of Father Ted when Jack buggers off with the drinks from 30,000 feet and ends up in a tree.’
