A number of fizzy soft drinks manufacturers have confirmed that they have been forced to switch to carbon monoxide due to the current global CO2 shortage.
Consumers have reported that there is ‘no difference’ in terms of the taste, with some even describing a ‘sort of euphoric, out of body experience’ afterwards.
Michelle Garridge is a huge cola fan from Southend On Sea, and she told us that she welcomed the move.
She said, ‘Apparently the drinks are more slimming as unlike traditional fizz, carbon monoxide has half the oxygen.’
’I don’t really understand the shortage of CO2 anyway. Couldn’t we all just breathe out more?’
